illFX Entertainment - Athena

Founded on the territories of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta, illFX Entertainment Inc. is a local arts and entertainment company providing high-end entertainment for corporate, community and private events. Their sister company illFX Education is a Street Dance program which aims to foster diverse, passionate dancers in a supportive and inclusive community, while providing the tools needed to pursue professional dance careers. A subset of illFX Education is the Athena collective which is a group of pre-professional and professional dance artists specializing in Femme Styles - Heels, Vogue and Waacking. These styles were born out of the experiences of LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities as a form of self expression. Through their own expression Athena endeavours to challenge ideals around gender norms and encourage the celebration of individuality.
