Biography

An Alberta artist deeply rooted in Western agriculture, Renee Gould’s work reflects the stories of her farm, family, and the animals that shape her life. Horses have always been integral to her journey, influencing both her riding and her art. Now a mother of two, she balances time between the saddle and the canvas, translating her experiences into vivid oil paintings.

Artist Statement

For too long, the cowboy has been romanticized while women have been left in the background. My work changes that narrative.

I paint women as the story—their confidence, resilience, and deep connection to the land. They are not just caretakers; they are leaders, riders, and forces of nature. Through my art, I celebrate their legacy and ensure their stories are seen.
