2026 ART SHOW APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
Creative Arts and Crafts
The Calgary Stampede Creative Arts and Crafts competition was born out of the tradition of displaying creative works in a country fair. The display and judging of the arts and crafts engages the community with the Calgary Stampede and supports our western heritage, and has been showcasing the work of local crafters for more than 40 years. This exhibition preserves traditional art forms and advances new and modern forms of creativity including textiles, wood, ceramics, paper and sugar.
While preserving the traditional, the display also showcases emerging art forms. All are judged by experts in their fields to provide invaluable feedback to the participants. Ribbons and prize money are awarded to the top entries. For more info, contact artsncraftscalgary@gmail.com
There will also be groups hosting demonstrations for all 10 days in the BMO Centre. Stop by and learn something new!
