Each morning at Elbow River Camp we welcome a new day with our traditional flag raising.

The Eagle Staff is traditionally carried by First Nations as their flag. When the Eagle Staff is carried into an arena, the Flag Song is sung, a sign of respect that requires those attending to stand.

Flags for each Nation of Treaty 7, the province of Alberta and for Canada are raised and lowered each day, to the sound of drumming and singing.
