Erich has worked as a freelance commercial illustrator from 1987...

He also painted wildlife and nature and started his painting career exhibiting at the Buckhorn Wildlife Art Show just outside of Peterborough, Ontario in the 1990’s...

At that time, Eric and his family lived in Southwest Ontario, and he also participated in the Canadian Ducks Unlimited program, and his lynx painting, ‘Tiptoe – Out from Under’, was selected for their 1997 print program.

This same painting was also a winner at the Lansing, Michigan Wildlife Expo in 1998 for best in the category for North American Small Game.

Eric and family moved back to his home province of BC in 2001, and tho’ he did paint a few wildlife paintings, he basically took a sabbatical from wildlife and nature painting until 2018...

Eric’s commercial career is winding down, and he is finding more time to paint his love, nature and wildlife...

Eric exhibits in the Lake Country ArtWalk every summer in Lake Country, BC and was very fortunate to be chosen as a Top Ten People’s Choice award recipient in 2024.

This is Eric’s first year exhibiting at the Calgary Stampede.
