Building on a successful Winter 2025 pilot program, the Calgary Stampede Champion Award returns this spring to celebrate youth athletes across community sports.
As part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement and sharing the spirit of the Calgary Stampede year‑round, this program recognizes young athletes who go beyond performance to exemplify the values that define the Stampede: Western hospitality, integrity, and commitment to community.
Youth community sports groups, grassroots leagues, and school‑affiliated teams are invited to apply for Champion Award packages to present to standout athletes at meaningful moments throughout their spring season.
Each Calgary Stampede Champion Award package includes:
- Two admission passes to the 2026 Calgary Stampede
- A Calgary Stampede Champion cowboy hat
- A blank Champion Award certificate (to be completed by the team/coaches/nominators)
Teams may request multiple awards (up to a maximum of 20) and present them at any point during their season such as a tournament, season wrap‑up, or special team celebration.
