The Calgary Stampede opened its doors again to 398 guests over the weekend for Doors Open YYC!doorsopen

Guests learned all about the “100 Years of Champions,” toured the legendary broadcast room The Eye-in-the-Sky, went under the Grandstand Stage where few members of the public have gone, rode the Stampede trolley, as well as visit the Infield, Infield Suites and barns. With so many sites visited, it’s hard to pick a favourite. The best part of #DOyyc for me was watching happy guests make Stampede memories, bond over pancakes and learn from our passionate volunteers!

More than 75 volunteers came out to support the event—serving up pancakes, assisting with registration and showing off Stampede spaces that few members of the public have the opportunities to experience.

If you didn’t get the chance to join us this weekend, check out our Twitter and Instagram to see what you missed:

Hot, fluffy Stampede pancakes and sausages right off the griddle!

A big thank you to everyone who came out for the tour and to Doors Open YYC for having the Stampede as a site again!
