Get to know the landscape and some of the amazing individuals who have contribited to the valley's rich history and sense of community.

THE TWELVE RANCHES

The Highwood River Valley

When you leave the Cowboy Trail, Highway 22, at Longview and head west, you will find yourself in the Highwood River Valley. The ranches in this valley can trace their origins to the late 1800s. Together, they share a long history of community and cooperation, exemplifying western heritage and values through their commitment to the land and to each other.
