Foxx Worthee

Vocalists Crystal Smith and Nicole Perkins share a philosophy in country music, admiring the soulful traditions of classic country and the rebellious outlaw spirit embodied in more modern country.

Crystal was introduced to country music by her father and cut her teeth on the likes of Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard. Her interest in music grew throughout her childhood as she performed in different youth groups, as an anthem singer, and finally on her own before becoming one half of Foxx Worthee.

Shaped by dual influences from her country loving grandmother and rock n’ roll parents, Nicole embraced both singing and acting and her vocal gifts also led to success as an anthem singer and in singing competitions throughout her early twenties. Nicole's dedication to making music has never wavered, even as she began her family and took on nurturing the talents of her children as well.

Over the last few years, Foxx Worthee have recommitted themselves to the recording studio while still playing some of Western Canada’s best stages and festivals. Three original songs have hit the airwaves, gaining airplay from coast to coast and breaking into the top 100 on the Canadian country charts. But the girls’ first love will always be playing to live audiences with appearances at Nashville North, Country Thunder and many other stages throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. With a new single due out this year, Foxx Worthee continues to embody what women can be in country music - equal parts wildflower and shotgun shell.
