Crooked Spies

Hailing from the heart of the new west, Calgary, AB, Crooked Spies are a four piece garage influenced rock band fronted by brothers Dylan and Steven Evanik. Encompassing a youthful and unabashed confidence, their 2017 release High Plains has been described by Mike Bell (theYYSCENE) as “a gnarly, almost belligerently cool slab of stoner rock, muscled-up pop-punk and ’90s mostly metal...” Rounding out the line up is an exceptionally hard hitting rhythm section consisting of Aaron Sams on and Mark Lawlor. Bred on a heavy dose of blues their heart equally lies in the world of garage rock and punk. With a dedicated and inclusive fan-base at home, it is their chaotic and high energy live show that has garnered some attention, allowing them to support such acts as Danko Jones, Grandson and The Motorleauge.
