While it was rainy and chilly, spirits were still at an all-time high on McDonald’s Community Day on Stampede Park.
The morning kicked off at 10 a.m. with the first 25,000 guests receiving a special commemorative button, making use of #LOVEYYC.
There was roaming entertainment courtesy of GlobalFest on Stampede Park , admission was just $2 until 2 p.m. and our Random Acts of Spirit team were spreading community spirit everywhere they went.
The purpose of the Random Acts of Spirit team is to surprise some lucky guests with unexpected and unique experiences while they are visiting The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! The Viernes family and daughters Berlyn and Alexys were in for a special treat on Monday when the team took them for a behind-the-scenes tour with Minature Donkey’s Zoe and Silk in Ag-tivity in the City.
“It was a great experience for our girls and they had so much fun,” said Roselyn Viernes, Berlyn and Alexys’ mother.
Here are some photos of the fun they had with Silk and Zoe.

Special experiences aside, McDonald’s Community Day was really about the strength and wonderful people in our city – it was a community-wide celebration like no other.
