The Calgary Stampede Showband is excited to announce that we have once again been invited to march in the highly admired and globally recognized Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California, in January 2019. This will be the fourth time that the Showband will participate in the Rose Parade, after attending  in 1997, 2003 and 2012.

“We will be marching with more than 60 other entries and 20 marching bands, including entries from Costa Rica, Japan, Puerto Rico and Sweden,” said Manager of Bands, Ryan Hancock.

In addition to the Rose Bowl Parade, the Stampede Showband will also be performing at Bandfest. Bandfest is an event put on by the Rose Bowl Parade that allows bands who participate in the parade to showcase their field shows that helped create each groups success. Stampede Showband will be performing what Manager of Bands, Ryan Hancock calls a ‘Steps Show on the Move’. This will be similar to the Stampede Showbands performance presented twice daily on the Saddledome STEPS during the Calgary Stampede. This performance allows the Stampede Showband to showcase their musicianship and showmanship that allowed them to be invited to this prestigious event.
