Another busy week has gone by! This year is going super fast and before you know it, Christmas will be here (45 more shopping days), Canada welcomes the World for the Olympics (94 more days to go) and eventually, Stampede 2010 (July 9-18; 242 more sleeps, but who’s counting anyways?) will be upon us!

How was everyone’s weekend? Have you seen the Christmas lights the Park staff have put up over the last week? Very impressive! I stopped in for a little bit at the Corb Lund concert on Saturday; always love hearing “The Truck got Stuck”.

Anyways, shall we get going and see What’s Happening this week?

TAQA presents A Conversation with Dr. Alan Greenspan. Moderated by Dave Taylor, Liberal MLA for Calgary Currie, come and see the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve of the United States as he speaks on the current Global, Canadian and Alberta economic climate, oil and gas prices, the Obama plan, Gold prices, NAFTA, and how the H1N1 virus will effect on our economy. Tuesday Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. in the BMO Centre. Tickets available through Ticketmaster.

Speaking of H1N1, vaccination shots will continue to be given to those who are classified as high-risk this week at the Stampede Grandstand. For more information on Alberta’s vaccination clinics including hours and who is eligible to receive the vaccine this week, see here. Parking for the duration of the H1N1 clinic at the Grandstand Building is free.
