BIG FOUR BUILDING

The Big Four were the Alberta cattlemen Patrick Burns, George Lane, A. E. Cross and Archibald J. McLean. Together they founded the Calgary Stampede in the early years of the 20th century. The Big Four Building at Stampede Park was named for the four businessmen, and once held the largest curling rink in the world.

Home of the Superdogs, Natures Ninjas, The Range Food Market and The Station.

COCA-COLA STAGE & WEADICKVILLE

With 10 straight days of performances by North America’s hottest artists, the Coca-Cola Stage is Western Canada’s best outdoor music festival in the summer - and it’s all free with admission!

Weadickville is an area of Stampede Park that reflects a typical 1912-style Calgary street. It was created in 1980 in honour of the Calgary Stampede’s founder, Guy Weadick, a cowboy who envisioned “the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” Complete with family entertainment and park like atmosphere, it's a great place to find the best value deals on the Midway.

BMO CENTRE & STAMPEDE CORRAL

Stroll through the Western Oasis where creativity abounds - art & artists, musicians, crafts, food and wine - all in a lush garden setting with the distinctive flavor of the West.

The Stampede Market is a shopping experience like no other, with over 200 retailers showcasing new products and tasty treats!

Buckaroos is the place to be for kids under 12! Kids can bounce on the giant inflatables, climb on the multi-level play structure or cruise in a plasma car.

NASHVILLE NORTH

For ten days every July, Nashville North is the place for the best country music party all-day long.

Catch rising stars and familiar favourites in this legendary venue that over the years has hosted acts including Johnny Reid, Eric Church, Dean Brody, Sugarland and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

SCOTIABANK SADDLEDOME

Located on Stampede Park, the Saddledome was built in 1983 to replace the Stampede Corral as the home of the Calgary Flames. The facility also hosts concerts and agriculture events for the Calgary Stampede.

Located on the steps of the Saddledome are some of the best street performers in the world and performances by visiting marching showbands, The Band of Outriders and the Calgary Stampede Showband!

THE GREAT FUNTIER & KIDS' MIDWAY

The Great FUNtier features rides and games for all sizes built especially for families with young children in mind. The Kids' Midway offers 26 rides and kid-friendly games in a smoke-free zone.

And there is even more to do in the Great FUNtier.  Meet the men & women of the Canadian Military and visit the animals in the Northern Lights Arena and the Agriculture Zone. Be sure to visit more animals and see them in action in the Agrium Western Events Centre right next door to the Great FUNtier!

AGRICULTURE

The Agrium Western Events Centre is the new heart and home of year-round western events and agricultural education on Stampede Park and hosts over 50 events, showcases and competitions during the Calgary Stampede.

One of the largest projects in our 102-year history, the Agrium Western Event Centre is a state-of-the-art facility for western events and agriculture education, exhibition and industry in southern Alberta.

GRANDSTAND

The Calgary Stampede Grandstand is a 17,000-seat stadium with standing room space for 8,000 more guests. It annually hosts the rodeo, the GMC Rangeland Derby and the Transalta Evening Grandstand Show.

INDIAN VILLAGE

The Indian Village has been a major part of the Calgary Stampede since the inception in 1912. It is a great way for visitors to experience the First Nations traditions and culture first hand.

The First Nations People at Indian Village represent the 5 tribes, the Siksika, T'suu Tina, Nakoda (Stoney), Piikani (Peigan) and Kainai (Blood) of Treaty 7. There are 27 Tipis at the Indian Village. Demonstrations of native traditions and culture occur daily in the Indian Village.

MIDWAY

You will find rides and games of all sizes on the midway of the Calgary Stampede! There’s enough white-knuckled exhilaration to satisfy any adrenaline aficionado on the main midway and specialty sized kids’ rides in the kids’ midway of “the Great FUNtier”. If you prefer skills to thrills, your favourite games are set to challenge your hand-eye coordination and bestow bragging rights.
